The Evil of Pure Equality

Equality is often touted these days as the highest moral ideal. The more equality that is created, the better the world is. This can go so far as requiring everyone has the exact same possessions (if the egalitarian allows for possessions at all). However, what’s hidden here is actually evil. What egalitarianism ultimately upholds is an equality between the good and the evil. This is because pure equality makes no distinctions between people. Pure equality would assume that a murderer is on equal grounds as a non-murderer (More commonly politically, especially in regards to equality of possessions, the non-worker is on equal grounds as the worker). Hierarchy is inherent and necessitated by morality. Moral judgments are unequal judgments. Pure equality and egalitarianism ultimately create evil in the world.

Pure equality is ultimately evil. It seeks to destroy all hierarchies, which ultimately includes the hierarchy of morality itself. One has to have inequalities in order to be moral, to judge the good from the bad. To absolve the evil is to abrogate the good. Hierarchy is inherent in morality because it must delineate from the good and evil, with the good being better than evil. To preach pure equality is a contradiction, since it’s a morality that contradicts morality itself. The egalitarian must favor evil as much as the good, while living in contradiction with himself.
